23.8 °F Very cold today. It's crazy, the weather just a few days ago was perfect. It was warm enough to just wear a jacket, it was sunny, and we loved being outside. However, today was a totally different
forecast, cold to the bone, gloomy, not enough layers to keep warm, and poor Noah and
Meili about froze waiting for the bus to arrive.
I was just thinking, which is a rare occasion-
lol. That our lives are a little like this weather. Sometimes we are happy, nothing can get us down, and we feel on top of the world. Then without any warning, so it seems, we get hit! We wake up and feel overwhelmed, lonely, stressed and not wanting to face the long day.
I guess all we can do is remember the good days and look forward to them, just like we look forward to the good weather. we endure the bad and take advantage of the good.
It's nice to have opposition. It's not until we have a real cold day that we are reminded how grateful we are for certain things that we really don't give to much appreciation to before, places to take the kids to that are indoors, a car that has heating, a school nearby, weather appropriate clothing, food that warms your insides, hot water, and so much more. On bad days I am grateful for tomorrows, leftovers, caring people, understanding people, phone,
internet, the sun, gospel, hope, my time-doors that lock, 4:00pm when Brandon comes home, 8:00pm when the kids go to bed, and so much more!
Good bye now :)
